The Stage Of Society Evolution

In this writing, I’ve decided to categorize the majority of society and try to explain the stage of society we are at and what I believe would hold for the future. Here are some things to take note of:

  1. I will not be talking about too far into the past, the first stage would merely be the 1800s onwards.
  2. This would not be like a historical report, hence it would be vaguer and focuses on the way people acted in that time period.
  3. This is simply what I can infer with the limited things that I’ve seen.

First Stage- Stage of Ignorance and the Golden Age
This stage was before the internet and the beginning of World War 1. At this stage, the majority of the people are still more ignorant due to a lack of worldwide access and communication with other people. There was a lot less empathy and people were more focused on themselves, family or the war at this stage. A lot of things were seen in black and white and what would feel like a crime now was merely another commodity during this period. Whether it is drugs or slaves. Racism was not very well known, and what might be unconscious bias now is simply a way of life for that time.

However, due to the wars, globalization was on a fast track to change the world as alliances were formed and information was shared. Resources were traded around and humanity was on a fast track to a new age.

Second Stage (current stage) - Stage of constraint and perfection
This stage would be after society came to the era of the internet. There weren’t any big physical wars excluding feuds and bush wars between different countries. Most people at this stage are used to the internet and communicating with people of other cultures and countries are common. This could be called the age of peace, where different cultures mingled and thoughts were freely shared or was it?

With the coming of different cultures and free flow of information, clashes began to happen between what was right or wrong. What used to be a wild place on the internet was slowly but surely began to stabilise. With it came the showing of just how messed up the world was, kids who should not have to know anything matured faster without having their own experience began to see the terrifying reality of the world. An imperfect place with imperfect people.

Expectations of being perfect came along where should one show their mistakes online, it resulted in absolute bashing from those who sought to love everyone, without paying attention to themselves. The failure to understand the imperfections and pride of being ‘perfect’ has begun to show. Each sentence is now phrased with carefulness for their own safety. At this stage, there is a lot of ‘empathy’ for the weak and those who were revealed were destroyed for their mistakes, whether it be past or present. It was pretty much lynching but online. Lives were ruined over the smallest mistakes from those who pride on themselves exposing others, while problems like bush wars, trade wars and political wars are ongoing. The majority of the people had the knowledge to glimpse the surface, not the bottom, resulting in many innocent damages done.

To sum it up, with the age of easy communication with others, people began to impose their version of right while condemning others who did committed things that were in their version of wrong. People were in a sense less selfish, but perhaps too empathetic, too ‘right’.

Third Stage (Future)- ???
This stage would be in the future, and it would be something i guess would come, possibly after my death or perhaps I’ll witness in my lifetime, or never happen at all. At this stage, I believe there would be two outcomes

In the first outcome, as peoples IQ grow alongside the modernisation of countries and increased and better education is provided, society would begin to understand the hypocrisy of destroying others and a better understanding of everyone’s differences. At this stage, the old government have died out and the new ones are ones who would be less selfish, the ones that are less tough in a way due to not having seen or experience the age of war, but have seen how destroyed the world was, and sought for a better change and learn from the mistakes of the past. An era of peace fixed from the flames of war in the first stage and the uneased yet failed peacefulness of the second stage would be the outcome. Of course, there would still be problems as we aren’t perfect, but we would keep improving.

In the second outcome, the pride and stupidity of leaders constantly in fear of other leaders like china and USA result in another world war sending us back to the depths of stage 1. Good luck to everyone.

The End
